TestApp.io sends you notifications for release activity, team events, and account updates. You can control exactly which notifications you receive — both email and push — from your account settings. You can also mute activity notifications for specific apps.
Where to Find Notification Settings
Account-Wide Notification Preferences
To manage your overall notification preferences:
- Click your account avatar in the top-right corner of the portal
- Go to Account Settings
- Select the Notifications tab
Here you can toggle email and push notifications on or off for each notification category.
Per-App Muting
To mute all activity notifications (mentions, replies, and reactions) for a specific app:
- Open the app
- Go to App Settings
- Find the Notification Settings toggle and turn it off
This mutes activity-feed notifications for that app only. Your account-wide settings for other categories (system alerts, reports, etc.) are not affected.
Notification Categories
The following categories are available in Account Settings → Notifications. Each category has separate toggles for email and push notifications.
| Category | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Product news | New features and significant product changes |
| Promotions | Offers, discounts, and plan updates |
| Recommendations | Tips and tricks for using TestApp.io |
| Surveys | Occasional product feedback surveys |
| Reports | Weekly reports on apps, releases, and installs |
| System | Failed releases, expired links, invites, and key account events |
| Activity | Mentions, replies, and reactions on the activity feed |
| Essentials | Trial notices, identity verification, and security alerts — cannot be disabled |
Essentials notifications cannot be turned off. These include security-related and account-critical messages such as identity verification and trial expiry notices.
Unsubscribing from Emails
Every non-essential email from TestApp.io includes an unsubscribe link in the footer. Clicking it opens your notification preferences page without requiring you to sign in, so you can update your preferences directly.
You can also manage your preferences at any time by going to Account Settings → Notifications in the portal.
Team Integration Notifications
If your team uses Slack or Microsoft Teams, release and team event notifications are configured separately in Team Settings → Integrations. These settings control which events trigger messages in your connected workspace — for example, new releases, member changes, and team activity.
For setup instructions, see Slack Integration and Microsoft Teams Integration.
