Managing Your Subscription and Billing

All subscription and billing management lives in one place: Team → Plan. This tab is only visible to team Owners and Admins. From here you can update payment details, view invoices, switch plans, pause, or cancel.

Update Billing Details

To update your payment method, billing address, or business information:

  1. Go to Team → Plan.
  2. In the billing status card, click Update billing info.
  3. A Paddle billing overlay opens in the app — update your payment method, name, address, or business details and save.

TestApp.io uses Paddle as its payment provider. The overlay opens directly inside the app — no external redirect.

VAT and Tax

TestApp.io uses Paddle as its payment provider. Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record — they are responsible for calculating, collecting, and remitting all applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax) in over 100 countries worldwide.

If your business is VAT-registered, you can add your VAT number to any of your invoices. Once your VAT number is on file, Paddle stops charging VAT on future transactions and may refund any VAT already paid.

View Invoices and Transaction History

Your full transaction history is shown at the bottom of the Team → Plan page. Click any transaction to download the invoice.

Switch Between Monthly and Annual

  1. Go to Team → Plan.
  2. Click Manage Plan on your current plan card.
  3. Select Switch to Annual Billing (or Monthly).
  4. Confirm — the switch is handled immediately, with unused credit applied as a proration.

Upgrade Your Plan

  1. Go to Team → Plan.
  2. Find the plan you want and click Upgrade now.
  3. Select a billing period (monthly or annual) and complete the Paddle checkout.

Upgrades take effect immediately. You are charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing period.

Downgrade Your Plan

  1. Go to Team → Plan.
  2. Find the lower plan and click Downgrade.
  3. Review the usage comparison — this shows which apps, releases, members, or integrations will be affected.
  4. Confirm the downgrade.

Review the impact carefully before confirming. Apps and releases that exceed the lower plan's limits will be removed or archived.

Pause Your Subscription

If you need a break without losing your data, you may be able to pause your subscription for up to 2 months. During a pause, your team and all features remain accessible — billing is simply deferred and resumes automatically.

  1. Go to Team → Plan and click Cancel plan.
  2. If a pause offer is available, select Pause Subscription and choose the duration (1 or 2 months).
  3. Your subscription resumes automatically at the end of the pause period — no action needed.

The pause option is offered as part of the cancellation flow when available. You will not lose any data or access while paused.

Cancel Your Subscription

  1. Go to Team → Plan and click Cancel plan.
  2. Review any retention offers (pause, downgrade to a lower plan).
  3. On the final confirmation screen, click Yes, Cancel Subscription.
  4. Select a cancellation reason and submit.

After cancellation, your team continues on its current plan until the end of the billing period, then moves to the free plan. Apps, releases, and integrations that exceed free plan limits will be affected. See What Happens When Your Subscription Ends for the full list of changes.
